Posted by Bodybuilding Workouts on August 5, 2009
Glad to have you back!Because one of my friends which bodybuilds says peanuts are a good source he buys the ones from the liquor stores or any store I think they are japenese peanuts he says he eats like 2 packets of each, every time he works out, I mean he does looks ripped and toned is it true?
Oh he also says that Milk is also a great source of Protein! Is he right Cuz i want to believe him but I don’t really know he tellsme to eat this and drink that as well! Is he Right? If not Then What is?
Peanut is a legume, which contains more protein than any other plant-derived food. Yeah, low-fat milk is high in protein, but is not a complete protein on its own.

Peanut are about 50% fat. If you don’t want that fat, don’t eat them nuts.
Full cream milk has protein in it. But it also has fat.
If you are trying to lower your body fat, you have to limit the intake of calories… (energy) … This energy basically comes from carbs, fat and sugar… so to lose weight you eat foods high in protein but limit your fat and carbs. Of course if you body fat is fine, as you say your friend is "ripped" then he can afford to get his protein from peanuts and milk, eggs, chicken, turkey, lamb, beef.

Peanuts are a great source of healthy fats not protein – there are many other foods that have way more protein like lean meat, fish, soy products (tofu, soy milk), milk products like cottage cheese, egg whites and egg beaters and natural supplement whey protein.
